Objectives

  • To identify the needs of the Region concerning nursing education;
  • To promote the interchange of information concerning philosophies, programs, curricula, and plans for the future;
  • To promote communication and coordination in planning for nursing educational programs and research
  • To promote research in nursing;
  • To promote interchange of nursing knowledge among the membership;
  • To represent the views of the Region to educational, professional and other appropriate bodies;
  • To promote public understanding about nursing.

Meetings

Representatives from each institution meet twice yearly, with each taking its turn to host the events.

In the spring of each year, ARCASN holds its Annual Conference. All members are invited to submit papers or posters for presentation.

The Annual General Meeting is held during the spring conference. Subcommittees of ARCASN (Education and Research) meet on an ad hoc basis, usually by teleconference.
